Although young in age, BCRC has already established many traditions: High Holiday Services and other religious, educational and social events, such as Chanukah parties, Purim Festivals, Passover Seders, and family picnics.

All BCRC worship services are open to all congregants and non-congregants from the community who would like to participate in a Reform Jewish Shabbat Service.

Children's Services (Friday night, Saturday or Sunday morning): Short services (about 30 minutes) geared to introduce young people, ages 3-8, to the prayers, songs, and traditions of Shabbat. May be led by our Rabbi or lay-led, and will have occasional participation by a Sunday School class (pre-K through 3rd grade).

Traditional Erev Shabbat Service (Friday night): Kabbalat Shabbat service appropriate for congregants of all ages. Led by our Rabbi or lay leader, and typically includes a sermon. Occasionally one of the Sunday School upper grades (4th grade through 7th grade) will participate in these services.

Morning Shabbat Service (Saturday morning): Service that usually includes a Torah service or Torah study session with a sermon. This service is usually led by our Rabbi and often includes B'nai Mitzvahs or other life-cycle events. Occasionally one of the Sunday School older grades will participate in this service. Those interested in having an aliyot at upcoming services are encouraged to contact our Worship Committee.

Jammin' Shabbat Service (Friday night): A service for congregants of all ages who enjoy services filled with singing and music. All who play musical instruments or sing are encouraged to participate. Those interested in participating musically are asked to contact our Jammin' Shabbat Coordinator.

The Woodstock Gang is a group of our BCRC members age 45 and over who are free of babysitters, past Soccer Mom status but not yet in The Over the Hill Gang. We get together for dinners, events and to just plain visit! We are a laid back and flexible group who would love to get to know you!

BCRC has organized a discussion group for interfaith couples. The group provides an opportunity for couples to meet each other and to discuss the religious and cultural differences inherent in an interfaith family. Discussion topics include extended family interactions, the Christmas question, raising children in an interfaith family and many others. The group provides support and suggestions for many of the common issues interfaith couples and families face. The role of the non-Jew in our synagogue is specified in BCRC Ritual Policy on The Role of the Non-Jew in Synagogue Life. Please call for more information on participating in the Interfaith Group activities.

BCRC adheres to the philosophy that Judaism is a way of life. To that end, we encourage our children to participate in Jewish education and social activities outside of those provided in our Religious School. One of our most popular youth activities is our monthly get together with our rabbinic intern. Each month, a different group of children in the same grade level meets with our rabbinic intern to share in age appropriate stories, arts and crafts, and games. Our children have found this to be a wonderful opportunity to interact with our religious leader in an informal and fun-filled setting.

We also encourage and sponsor social gatherings for our teenagers. They have enjoyed a wide variety of outings, including a bowling party, and we plan many more fun social events in the near future.
